the aluminum blocks are quite the sticker shock. I wonder if an iron block would be more reasonable.

Block Pricing
The cast iron blocks will be about $3750 ready to assemble.
Aluminum about $1000 more

cast iron block on engine stand?
What fuel pump setup on this block. no access for mechanical fuel pump? any other special features unique to this block?

If you require a mechanical pump. Provisions for a fuel pump will be machined if required.
