1989 F250 help

I have an 89 F250 with only 80k miles. I had to take off the fuel injection system and replace it with a carbonator. Any advice on what I can do to make the engine warm up faster because winter is coming and it takes a good 10-15 mins before I can drive or it will stall. BTW it has a 351 and manual transfer. Thanks

When you installed the carb, did you install the choke? Either manual or electric all carbs need a choke to provide a richer mixture during warm up and driving while warming up, if you did not install or hook up the choke, your never going to be able to drive it until it warms up.

Also, you have an ECM in that vehicle that controlled the fuel injection, which will cause problems if not addressed, the ECM also controls other systems and without that fuel injection unit feeding information to the ECM things are not going to work correctly.
