Mirrors

Anyone else having a problem with new mirrors? I have had to grind material off the top hinge to get the mirror over it so there is enough room between the hinge and the back of the mirror arm so it would tilt in towards the truck enough to be able to see in them. Its like the tabs the pins go in need to be 1/8 of an inch longer. And of coarse being the idiot I am. I didnt get the hinge pin line up 100% on one of them and when I tapped the pin in it broke the bottom of the mirror tap off. I am thinking that theres a reason there is a little note inside the box the mirror came in that there is no warranty on broken tabs.

Yes, I had the same problem with the mirrors I got. Modifying the hinge is the only way to make them fit.

Here's a look at mine before I replaced the round heads with rectangular ones...

i have the swan neck style on my F1. I also had some fitment problems, but I chose to grind the mirror instead of the hinge.
