check engine light

I have a 95 ford ranger where the check engine light comes on intermittently only when the AC runs in the summer. The light will go away after a short time. No problems with the heat in winter. It doesn't happen every time the AC is on. Can anyone give me some ideas on what may be causing this?

check engine light

hey i had the same problem for about 2 months on my 95 f-150 with a 5.0 and what had happned was the air intake hose had come off a little bit and it would cause the check engine light becasue the mass air meter was telling the computer that there was no air being pulled through so the computer wouldnt put as much gas in the mix and the light came on try that make sure all hoses are snug

Dissconnect the battery for about 30 min. That will reset the computer. Then, the next time it happens, check the computer's codes. It will store the code from when it happens.

Primary rig is Green Thunder:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Sunroof, CD player with 2 10" subs and some 32" BFG Muds .

Check out my Gallery for a look-see.

Then theres:
99' Mustang GT 4.6L
88' F-250 Superduty 4x4 351/c6
95' Mercury Cougar 4.6L V-8
80' E-350 300/6 with a
3 spd column shifter. Top speed is 65mph, Go Baby Go!
