Engine Swap Questions

Ive got a '95 F150 with a 5.0L EFI. Its thrown a rod and I found a nice 302 on CL from a 1990. If its EFI, will it swap on over?

You're 1995 F150 has a roller cam shaft. What 1990 vehicle is the CL 302?

Is your '95 truck mass air? If so you would have to change the cam in the '90 as it has a different firing order and won't work with the sequential injection in your truck. Assuming the '90 is a truck motor it is a direct bolt-in for the most part besides that as long as you don't try to use any wiring that comes with the donor motor.

No. My '95 isnt mass air.

I plan on using the harness thats in my truck at the moment.

So it should be a direct bolt in?

Yep it'll bolt right in just make sure you use the flywheel on your current motor and none of the wiring that comes with the replacement.. remove the upper intakes on both motors and swap the engine portions.
