TEST RUN TO VEGAS!

Gonna take the new truck and old pull trailer down to Vegas lol. I'm from BC Canada. Actually left Thursday. Stayed in Mt Shasta, Northern California, the 1st nite Now we're stayin the nite in Bakersfield. Vegas sometime late tomorrow morning! Truck running great. Good run through the mountains of Oregon and Northern California. Haven't missed at beat yet, but have to admit, be nice to have a larger fuel tank lol.

Well, we're in Vegas finally! Drove the strip a couple times. Usually fly in here but drivings a whole different experience! That interstate coming out of Barstow is an amazing long uphill grade!! 800-1100 on the pyro gets me about 65-75mph, 230-240 on the oil temps, 215-220 on the coolant. Soon as I let off she cools pretty quick. It's amazing how well the truck can really power up thou, I'm impressed. My fuel mileage is certainly not the best. I calculate about 11.3 mpg Imperial (cuz I'm Canadian eh lol) US gals about 9.40. (I think about 20% difference) Now I hope, better on the way home. I have been pushing it pretty hard..... and thats at about 100 degrees F. I don't think that's too bad.<!-- / message -->
