What I'm starting with.........

The only thing on the Mark VIII IRS is that they are not 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern
they are 5 on 4.25 but I think you may be able to use the bearing hub assemblies from a 2003/2004 Mustang Cobra IRS. Not sure what brakes to use though so some research is in oder on that.
Go luck with the project I went to a show last weekend with over 300 cars and trucks and ours was the only 57-60 there

Jeff, that is the exact reason I wanted these years. I had my 5 and everyone had one or had everything possible done to it.
I love the odd models. That's why my 63 Fairlane and 63 Galaxie are both 500 model 4 doors. Well, that and the fact that I don't want the kids combing over seats. No 2 door 64's here.
I'm aware of the different pattern. Ill try and go for the cobra hub and re-drill the rotor for the MkVIII brakes if possible or just go with a small spacer. No biggie. The Galaxie has plenty of room for it.
I got the drivetrain out of the Lincoln today and put it in front of the Fairlane. Now to finish the wiring and the IRS. Then I'll pull the 8" from the lane and weld it in the Lincoln for transport to the junk yard. Can't wait to clear that space for my truck to get into.
Thanks, and your truck is awesome. I read through your build. Nice setup there.
