just bought the conversion van and other owner said its needs a new evap carbon canister. got one but, old canister only has one 3/4" rubber hose going to it. new one has the 3/4" hose plus a 1/2" and a smaller hose nipple, 3/16 or so. there are two hoses coming off the top of the tank that are plugged off that look like the same size. should these go to the canister? the van starts ok but sluggish for the first 5 or 10 seconds after starting, also when done filling at the gas station and first start up it runs like the choke is on if it had one, only for a half a mile or so. its a 351 EFI.

Two ports for a single tank and four ports for dual tanks 5.0/5.8, if it's a After Market part it might have four ports anyway for a universal fit. You should not have any lines plugged off on the tank. Check with FordParts .com and look at the pics for missing parts and hoses.....Good Luck it's crazy under there!
