Head Light problem
Greetings,
1992 F150 5.0
Every once in a while when I have my headlight brights turned on the lights will go out completely for a second then turn back on. I'm curious if some of you have had this issue?
I will be driving home from work in the evening and they will go out then turn on in a matter of a second or two then go out then on. Then on some days they will work fine.
Is this the pull switch issue or the switch that turns the headlight brights on in the steering column?
The issue only seems to happen when the brights on the headlights are turned on .

The headlight switch needs to be replaced, there is a thermal breaker that starts kicking off with some age, or if the switch has problems with connections and it gets hot...
When you pull the switch look at the connector plug very close, if you notice any signs of it ever being hot (melted plastic/discolored connectors) you need to replace it also, if you don't the new switch WILL NOT last..

Thanks!
I bet you're right cause I had my original switch start to smoke and melted one evening and had to replace the switch. I never replaced the wiring I bet that is the issue along with the newer switch it self....Any ideas on were I can find the connector at? Other then that Ill start surfing the web to see what I can find.
I think i found every thing i need:
Headlight Switch Harness
Headlight Switch
