A lot of the of the frames for years have been the same width so you should be able to get one from just about ant 70's-80's Ford and it would work. I used to know exactly but I don't recall. Sorry.

Hey Bra$$ - I just took one off my 54 that the PO had installed. It's complete with the round plug and in good shape. Where are you located? The shipping may be costly. Ken

I used a Drawtite #40050 fit like it was made for it. If you must have a Reese, try crossmatching the drawtite #. I got mine from etrailer.com.

It depends on how heavy a trailer you are planning on towing. If you are going to tow a lighter trailer you can use a lower grade cheaper hitch. I set mine up to tow a 7500# enclosed car trailer so I used a class IV hitch rated to 10,000#.
Class II up to 3500# and class III up to 5000# are cheaper. If you want to go with a lighter class hitch you can look up my hitch model on drawtite and see the application, then look up the lighter class hitch for that application.

I have a 5 x 12 utility that weighs maybe 900lbs empty. Most I would ever tow would be maybe 3500 lbs. & I can't think when I would need that much. Mostly I use it for lumber or bicycles.

Then go with a class II hitch, will be a lot cheaper.

You can probably pick one up at the next swap meet for a lot less. What part of AZ are you in?
