Hello all. Found this site about 2 months ago and have read a lot already. I just bought a 1970 F100 short bed that is in great condition and am looking forward to working on it. I also had the chance to buy a 1968 short bed that is in rough shape for parts etc. Planning on using the frame of the 68 to get started on a 5.0 or 5.8 FI/auto/CV front end/IRS swap then just transferring the 70 body onto. That way I can still enjoy driving the 70 while making some progress. Any advice with engine tranny combos, or IRS I should look at?
