There are "blow through" carbs for turbo/supercharged motors.

The other way is a pressurized box for the carb. Older Ford (Paxton and others) systems used that.

You can "draw through" as well, but with gasoline, you now have a pressurized intake system full of air/fuel, and if you drop a valve or have an ignition fubar, you will have a mini version of this:
