Finally got the OK to get a 2 post lift.

I've been wanting to get a lift for the Garage. The old bones just ain't what they used to be and wrenching on the floor or ground is getting painful.

Since I don't ride my motorcycle anymore, I convinced the wife to let me sell it and buy a 2 post lift. What convinced her was that I have to take the rest of the money and take her on vacation to Florida. (That was a really, really hard concession to make. LOL)

I wrench and maintain 8 different cars for the my family and extended family. I generally have work on cars one to two times a week. I just hurts too much anymore getting up and down.

With only 11ft 3in to the bottom of the open trusses in the garage, I started leaning toward a 10,000 lb baseplate design, but upon shopping and measuring carefully, I figured out that I can put in a overhead lift and the top can fit inside the trusses. I would just have to relocate the safety switch bar to under the trusses or add an extension.

I chose the Atlas PV-10p.

Atlas PV-10P

I'm lucky that one of the warehouses is within 30 miles of me so no shipping charges or tax. (Delaware)

It will fit in pretty much like the one at this link:

How To Install A 2 Post Overhead Lift Into An Open Ceiling

I hope I get the bike sold soon!

Along with a heated enclosed separate garage having a lift is probably on everyone's mind or wish list who works on any vehicle.

That brand seems very affordable which probably made it an easier sell to the powers who be huh?

Absolutely!!

I had looked at other lifts like Bendpak, but she always got real uncomfortable at the price. She always tries to help my hobbies, And that's part of why I love her so much.

I fell in love with her the day we met and I love her even more after 28 years together. I can never get enough of her.

Double check the specs. A lot of lifts need a certain thickness of concrete underneath the posts.
I know what you mean about old bones. Been a PITA changing a transmission on my car. Getting down is easy. Back up................is another story.
