Getting EXCITED again!
Glad to see you back at it. I hope retirement doesn't work out for you like it did for me. I seem to have more to do now than before I retired.

Did I miss your running board build on here?

I got some cash for Christmas so I promptly got on the midfifty.com site and ordered inner and out door handles, hardware and outside mirrors. I did my part for "redistribution of wealth" lol

Not directly truck related.. But I got the stuff out of the shed and organized a little.. I know it doesn't look like much BUT... after the truck being BURIED for 2 1/2 years under junk I feel good to have accomplished this little bit.. plus I dug out the wheels and they are going to powder coat next week!

Well today I finally picked up my tailgate which I set in the corner 2 1/2 years ago that I messed up on and caused me to walk away from the truck. I took some measurement and decided to try and salvage any thing I could. Fist I cut the center section out and began to whittle away at it. at the end of the day I think I can actually reuse the frame and just reskin it. We shall see..

Don, I wondered what happened with your build. It looked like you were on a roll. Keep at it. I can't tell how much scrap metal I've created over the years. Take your time on the welding, it's faster than having to do it over.

Nice gauges! I didn't know about a GPS speedo, that's cool. I like the built in tach too.

Good to see your truck is back on track and that you have gathered the parts to keep it moving forward. The GPS driven speedometer is a great idea for anyone doing any driveline changes. Keep up the good work.
