That's an interesting crossmember, dropping in from the top, and different looking from the typical M II. What is it?

Is that a TCI crossmember?

Is the crossmember set in backwards? It looks the caster angle is the wrong way and the rack mounts are on the back side instead of the front.

Weekend Update

Got to spend about 4 hours on my heap yesterday.. I STARTED to mock up the front end...I got as far as installing the shocks and discovered that TCI shipped me the wrong coilovers..AND rear shocks..I guess I will give them a call on Monday!
I did manage to rough in the gas tank..It still needs a bunch of work!

Wrong coil over and rear shocks...missing C notch weld ins...

I got ahold of tech support at TCI today to see what could be done about the kit being different than the instructions..
First issue missing weld in C notches for sway bar..
Tech answer...Those are only for the Chevy trucks. The frame on a Ford isn't wide enough to need them...REALLY then WHY is it the instructions show cutting the frame and welding them in?
Issue TWO. The coil overs do not fit in accordance with the instructions..
Tech answer..Do your shocks say Ride Tech on them? YES they do. Well THOSE are designed to be installed upside down..we just haven't changed the instructions yet..(That was May of this year they changed vendors and the instructions haven't been updated yet!)
Issue THREE..the rear shocks I got have a stud mount on top..
Tech answer..Oh well those are wrong we will send you out the correct shocks..
Granted ,the quality of the IFS and welds etc are GREAT..but I would think that if you changed vendors and it required an update to the instructions that would clarify the kit changes that would be some good to know info...
Rant over.

Just curious, did you set your pinion angle with the rear suspension "loaded"?
Also, are you moving the front axle centerline forward so the wheels are centered in the fender?

Love '56's, wish I could find one around here.

I have moved the front end a little not 1 1/2 inches. Closer the 3/4. I checked it loaded.. Minus the weight of the bed.

Test fitted some BLING today...

Test fitted some stuff today..BLING for the engine, master cylinder and some other stuff.
APPARENTLY these ALL INCLUSIVE , DOES EVRYTHING kits...are just a lot of raw materials that will work IF you modify them or re engineer..the rear shocks.....just don't fit!
