exhaust manifold '60 292 Y block

John Mummert has reproduced the "ramhorn " type manifolds for trucks. They are high quality, and to me, not overly expensive.
Your other option is headers. I had a set of them from Sanderson, which I believe make the highest quality ones for Y-blocks (though not the cheapest), combined with a set of Brockman Mellowtone steel-pack mufflers. Sounded good, not too loud, but they did bother my wife, possibly the neighbors too, as I leave for work at 5:15 a.m.
I bought my ramhorn manifolds from John Mummert to satisfy the wife. I like them fine, and would not even consider an original set, with the usual work they would need o be serviceable. But, if someone were to sell you a set dirt cheap, maybe....

on mine the po took the crossover pipe off and just turned the drivers side 180 degrees and ran it down. The pass side manifold had been replaced with something other than stock as it didnt have the cap on it where it would have been capped off. Poor mans dual exhaust!
