Call to order your new steering gear Wed - Friday next week.

Mention the FTE group buy!

IMPORTANT: For you to get the group buy pricing, you need to call in your order Wednesday Sep 11 through Friday Sep13 - before or after and you may not get the discount. Call Red Head to order your steering gear box Red-Head Steering Gears - Custom Rebuilt Steering Gear Boxes in USA and make sure to mention the FTE group buy.

Discount structure (RedHead will price with a $30 discount but if we end up with over 15 orders, they will credit each buyer after the group buy has ended):

5-15: $30 off
16-25: $40 off
26-35: $50 off
36>: $60 off

A few special notes to order the right box:
1997 F-series you need to let them know if you have a 2-bolt oval cover or 4-bolt square cover.
1999-2000 F-series and on 2000 Excursion, you need to count the splines on the box.
2008 F-series you need to let them know the production date of your truck.

For everyone else there is nothing to do but to order for your vehicle.

Don't forget, the group buy is activated for Sep 11-Sep 13.

This sucks for me. Mine came in the mail today. I cant be too mad though since someone else's insurance is paying for the unit and installation after a young lady bumped into my front tire. I was able to convince the adjuster it caused the steering wander and wabble in the wheel. But I have to say, I was very surprised to see it since I just ordered it Wednesday afternoon. So far, nothing but good things to say about their service. It goes in the shop Tuesday and I can't wait to see the results.

Could not hurt to call them - maybe they will honor your purchase as part of the FTE group buy.

Sounds like it may suck for every one that wants to order, that's one order less toward the total possible discount.

The red head group buy has been an active discussion for the past two weeks with folks signing up. I'm surprised it hasn't really grabbed attention of more folks.

There has been to many red head group buys lately. Barely makes the minimum now. Just wait a few months for "needers" to add up then do another group buy. Honestly it would be neat to have a yearly group buy.

I hear ya but The group buy is on. I assume those buying would buy regardless of group buy - $30 is $30.

Even with a group buy, a lot of us still can't afford it. Especially during the current times, another reason for poor turn out.

Make sure you post this in the 73-79 dentside forum also. There's a few from the last group buy from that forum that got involved also. It just doesn't have to be our kind of steering box but any type of steering box to get in on the discount. More the merrier.

Also, I would say give a little heads up of more then just a week in advance. Most people already have their funds spent on something else so a min of a month advance would be better than a week. You would probably get more to join in.

Sorry guys. Some need stuff quickly and some work on long term plans and I have no way of knowing who's on the long term and who's not.

I'm selfish, I need my box soon so I order now and if 4 other need "now"ers order too, then we each save $30.
