Dang - glad you are ok. I love riding and have had some close calls but have not yet eaten it like that. I find the older i am the slower i ride. Glad you had gear on - can you imagine without it? I always wonder about people riding with shorts and flip flops. I always wear gloves because I know i am going to put my hands down - just too natural of a reaction. Again, glad you are ok.

Whoever did that should be fired on the spot. They have NO IDEA whether ANY patient's property might be considered evidence. It should be obvious to a six-year-old that an item like this, recovered in a traffic crash, could be useful in an investigation. Kinda that we trust our lives to people who can't be trusted with a simple thing like this....

You are one lucky dude. And charge the hospital with the bill for a new jacket. I have worked in the ER. They know better and should act better! Glad you are ok!! Close one...

I'm 31 and been riding since I was 5
Like you said its not my skills that scare me its the dumb azzes around me

The nurse put the jacket in a bio bag cause of the blood and another picked up the bag thinking it was waste. Doesn't matter it will have to be replaced anyway.

Good for you. I'm a helmet person too, although not full face. As Bell used to say, "Got a $10 head? Wear a $10 helmet!" I figure my head is worth something... maybe not much, but something!

La. Had a no helmet law but you had to carry a 100k life insurance policy. Now you have to wear a helmet. If you caught with out it it is a 1k fine and bike gets impounded

Glad your OK Mike, for the most part anyway, WOW!! I don't know much about these jackets but is it possible the chips in the back of the jacket could slid over as your sliding down the highway to your left shoulder and actually cause more harm? Just wondering!

Nate its a 2009 CBR 929RR worked to a 1200cc with newer plastics.
The yoshimura exhaust that was on it cost 1500

Glenn you'll get road rash regardless. The jacket fits tight and has straps and a belt to stop the jacket from moving.
