very glad i got the all aluminum radiator
lost my serpentine belt, well it shredded. it must have slapped the trans line going to the radiator. poured 6 qts of trans fluid somewhere. started shifting hard, battery light came on, p/s was gone, and brakes went. yee haw. got her into a parking lot had to use the parking brake to get it stopped.
if i had kept the plastic tubed radiator i'm sure it would have knocked off the nipple like so many peoples expansion nipple. instead it was re attach the hose, replace the belt fill er up and get back to camping. (we have a 13 month old, who can not sit at a site all day)
my wife and i are getting this love hate relationship with my truck. just bought it last year with 245,xxx miles, she hates how often i'm under the hood but loves that it's time counted in minutes and dollars instead of hours and hundreds.
