I am tired of the rear sitting on the bump stops when I hook up my 10k trailer to my 04 excursion. I also want a few inches of lift. My front damn near sits on the stops at rest. I picked up v code front springs with leveling add a leafs installed, and for the rear I decided to go 08 f 250 springs and blocks with the pmf 08 hanger conversion kit. The springs I bought came with a 30,000 mile sterling 10.5 out of an 08 as well. The price was right and I'm been mauling over going tons on the '78 anyway. Now that its here I'm shocked at how much bigger the brakes are than my 04! These rear rotors are the size of 04 fronts. It also has the sexy finned aluminum diff cover, which I could always just swap over. What are the differences between the axles and is there anything else id need to know if I wanted to swap the rears? I am guessing width may be a tad bit different since later trucks use different offset wheels but not sure by how much. Thanks!
