2005 F250 superduty 5.4l crewcab. When I shut the truck off and remove the keys from ignition, the chime keeps going off like the keys are still in the ignition until I turn the ignition back to the off position again.(about 1/8 of an inch.)


any ideas?

We had the same problem with the transit Connect in work. My boss figured out it was the dust door on the ignition switch was sticking. A quick spray of light oil and the door could close again stopping the chiming.

What part of NJ. I am down at the shore...

 

Northwest NJ. I'm about 20 minutes from the Delaware Water Gap. Pretty much everything is south of me. The company I work for, 90 percent of their client base is within 3 hours of the shop. Therefore, we have many customers towards the southern end of NJ. The turnpike is not that long anymore
