What is the max bore size for a 272

I bought a 272 several years back that had been bored to 3.75 (292) and needs to be bored again. So can anyone tell me the max size that I can take it to or should I have it sleeved?
thx

I bored one another .040 but theres always some risk.it is a lot cheaper to buy another block rather than sleeve.

Have it sonic checked to determine the cylinder wall thickness. If it has to be sleeved, it's time for another block. In my area, all 8 cylinders is about $1200. You can find a few blocks for much less than that.

I agree about the cost of sleeving. You can still find 292s. Here's a chart from Ford-Y-blocks; http://www.ford-y-block.com/displacement.htm

If you are close to S. Oregon, you can have a good 292 or 272 block for $100.
