Clicking noise under R.H. valve cover when turning crankshaft by hand.

First time poster long time reader. Just want to thank everyone on this forum, you people have been a wealth of information over the last couple of weeks. I recently removed the R.H Cylinder Head off my 2002 F250 5.4L engine. The install is complete except for the Radiator and Fan. Just for curiosity, I put a breaker bar on the crankshaft bolt and turned the engine through a couple of times. With my ear up to the R.H. valve cover, i could hear a single clicking noise or thud with every 2 revolutions of the crank pulley. The noise is present at the same spot every time. I dont feel any abnormal resistance, like valve to piston contact. I am kind of paranoid to start the engine in fear of the damage i could cause. With help from this forum, I am really confident that i have the timing right, unless it has jumped a tooth somewhere along the line. The motor sat for two weeks, waiting for the head to get back from the machine shop. With all the oil drained out could this be a valve spring or lash adjuster clicking due to lack of lubrication? I feared the worst, thinking i could have left or dropped someting in the cylinder head or under the valve cover but i dont believe i would hear the noise at the exact same spot every time. Any thoughts? Is it safe to try and start the engine? I really dont want to tear this engine back apart again but I also dont want to destroy it. Thanks for any help or info you guys can provide.
