You have the 6.2 in a 350 DRW?

My tires ended up being about 1.5-2" taller than the stock tire, but ironically my speedo is spot on now (gps checked), whereas before it was pretty far off. I think between the tires and the tune (30hp on the 93 tune) that I'm pretty close to the stock power.
Black bear does some pretty badass things with GM's 6.2 and other gassers. I just want another ford this time around, I would probably end up giving the 5-star a try just for a little extra pulling pwr and to make up for the bigger tire I will be running. I would also probably level and go with 35's but in an all-terrain tire........thanks for all the info, it's really helpful. Will probably go test drive a 3/4 ton 6.2 within the next couple days.

When you did the up hill pull in the video in the attached link, did you have the 5-star on your truck already or was it stock? Is it just a handheld plug and play or is it a outlook monitor/tuner all in one?

It's an SCT tuner. That pull was on the 93 tune. Previous meets that are linked in that thread are from when it was stock.

If you go to 5 Star's site, they have dyno charts and more info for their product. I wasn't really in it for the hp increase (although I haven't moved from the 93 tune), I was looking more for increased throttle response and an overall better transmission strategy.

Pulling with the performance tune dosent cause any probs? I know pulling with my old spartan tuned 6.4 would shoot the egts pretty high if i wasnt careful.

Diesels and gassers are two different animals when it comes to tunes.

No issues pulling on the 93 tune (plus I was monitoring temps/etc with the Torque app/BT OBD connector on my phone).

I have it on Android (Galaxy Nexus) but I think it's available on iPhone as well.

As for my post, it's a shame that I have to run a tune for 93 octane just to keep up with my V10 on a 87 octane tune. Bottom line I miss my V10 and always will, this truck will never satisfy me 100%. The interior is superb, I love the black leather, and still haven't figured all the electronic gizmos yet. But as for the engine and trans, I'll pass. I am stuck with it for now.

Struggle? Absolutely NOT!!! I regularly pull payloads of 10k(+/-), and my 2011 F250 with the 6.2 tows it with ease.

LTC

there is as large thread that I have followed on changing the exhaust. Think it is down below somewhere. I would suggest finding it and reading it before altering the exhaust system.

Might get some ideas there.
