Thanks! I don't have any experience with registering according to a weight and was thinking in terms of what is on the door jamb or in the owner's handbook.

The GFAWR and GRAWR are not just dependent on the axles alone. Mounting, springs, wheels, and tires go into that as well. The axle might do just fine with 11,500#, but that doesn't mean much if the hardware holding it to the frame fails...

Good to keep in mind. Multiple factors can go into ratings other than those that seem obvious.
