Howdy VA. Winter is getting closer and closer. Kids are going back to school and work is work!

 

Welcome to September! Applying for my state inspector's license this month and sending in my work experience forms to get my ASE credentials! Also heading to the Homestead next week for Mom's 50th birthday.

 

Very cool Devin! VA has a pretty intensive state inspection run by the state troopers. Should be good for extra dollars in the paycheck!

 

That's what I'm hoping! Takes 3 months to get the license, though. Have to get the paperwork from the state trooper, fill it out, get it notarized, then take it to some place in Lynchburg and take the written test. Pass the test, and they run a background, driving, and credit check. Pass all that, and the state trooper comes and watches you inspect a car. Pass that, and you get your license.

At least we don't have the OBDII crap like NC does.

 

Thats a pretty intense certification. How long does the cert last?

 

Kind of has to be. Too many dishonest idiots out there. Not sure. 5 years, maybe.

 

Thats pretty good and yes, I have been to some shady inspectors in the past.

 

Yup. Are the wife and kids still out in Potato Land with you, or are they back in VA for school?
