Recommend a Body shop in Hampton Roads
My Excursion sat for 13 months while I was deployed and the paint is cracking and coming off the roof in chunks. There seems to be some surface rust below the paint. I want to fix it so it doesn't happen again.
Anyone familiar with Hampton Roads well enough to recommend a good body shop?

YEAH! The Langley Air Force Base Auto Hobby Shop
Call ahead and see if they still have a paint booth - they may have got screwed out of it, but I doubt it.
I don't remember seeing an auto hobby shop aboard NAVSTA NORVA, which is why when I was acdu there I went straight for Langley...

Check out this link - it has the POTS numbers:

For those who have no clue about milspeak: POTS = Plain Old Telephone System
If you DON'T want to do it yourself - they will also give you info on a place that will NOT rip off a person in uniform. Unfortunately, that happens. We know about those places - ask them!
IF THERE ARE Military FRIENDLY places, they will know of them
You are stationed in an area that is kind of cut-throat if they smell military money. Be careful!
Flash a mil ID card, and they expect you to be stupid with your cash - so never tell them
In fact -if they ask about your window decals, tell them you bought it used!
I kind of hate to say that, but it is very true
~I would also like to invite you to the FTE "VETERANS NETWORK"
~it's a project I have been working on for a while, and is the largest social group here at FTE
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...et-at-fte.html
with over two hundred active and retired members willing to help out
You are one of ours - we will give every bit of help that we can!
Both FORD TRUCK, and MILITARY ORIENTED ASSISTANCE - I guarantee ya!
That includes help at home if you are 'away'
Check us out
We have had many success stories since this all began
