This guy I know is having issues with his PSD. The truck will run but it won't rev up and it smokes a lot at idle, here's what he has done to it.
*HPOP
*IPR Valve
*Replaced a computer. (Not sure if it was IDM)

Any thoughts??

 

It starts but when pushing on the go peddle nothing happens? If so then the IVS (idle validation switch) is probably sticking. If it revs up a bit but not like normal then it's something else. Need more info to fully understand the problem.

 

Unfortunately this is all the information that I have at the time. This truck has been sitting this way for almost 5 years now with this issue. My brother bought it so I'm trying to figure out the issue. Where would I find this IVS switch? Is it attached to the pedal at all? If I can get to this switch easily enough I can take the one out of mine and swap it with the other truck to see if the problem stays or goes away.

 

Might want to try swapping the whole pedal assembly, if they're both OBSes. Yes, the idle switch is on the pedal assembly. You could even just put your pedal next to his, plug the wires in and press the pedal to see if it makes a difference.
