F150 frame wanted and information

I just purchased a smashed F150. The frame damage is much worse than I originally thought, and the easiest thing to do would be to replace the frame. Unfortunately Ford has about 20 different frames for 2002. I have the regular cab 4x4 with a long box. I believe the wheel base to be 137 inches. According to my parts guy, only a 2002 F150 frame will work. Does anyone know if the F250 and F350 frames will work?

Anybody know where I can get one? All I can find are the Supercab and Quadcab frames.

Thanks,
Keen

F-250 and F-350 are totally different trucks with (probably) even a different wheelbase. You would probably be able to use a 2002 F-150 7700 frame, if they are still available in a regular cab LWB.

Yeah. My options are quite limited. I have contacted over 200 salvage yards in the upper midwest, and the comment I get most often is "good luck". I have decided to just resell the truck and cut my losses. Thanks very much for your help.

Where's the frame damaged at?
How much for the truck?
I might be interested. Pics would be nice.

The big front crossmember is toast, not saveable. The other crossmembers are both pushed back, and the entire left rail is about an inch or two farther to the rear than the right rail. both rails are slightly curved almost the entire length of the truck. You might be able to use the rear part of the rails from the back of the cab to the rear of the truck. In addition to the front hit, there was something large in the bed that slid forward and pushed the front of the bed into the cab. It hit on the rightmost side of the bed, and the front hit has slightly left of center. I figure this accounts for the curve/twist in the frame. If you look at the truck from the back, the left side of the bed is higher than the right side.
On the plus side, the running gear all looks fine, except for the fan and some pulleys on the front of the engine. There is a crack in the front left axle housing, but that would be an easy fix. Some of the steering gear might need to be replaced. Otherwise the truck is very nice. 11,000 miles, and loaded interior.

Thanks,
Keen

Zanny,
They removed the ebay link and price from my post. Apparently you can't sell anything in the forums. I tried to email you but your private email is turned off in your profile. If you want pictures and price please email me privately at kyoung@usinternet.com
