I've got some very leaky up-pipes - I didn't get above 23psi on that pull.
So once I get the new up-pipes and a new Torque converter - I think I just might be able to get over 320hp.
ill be on the rollers here in a few weeks, ill have to report my results in this thread as ive got the ported housing and RR ported housing wheel. your def. lacking some boost, i hit 36 psi the other night when i got a little pedal happy getting on the hwy. from what ive seen with my ebp readings this made my turbo come down from a 1:2 ratio to a 1:1.75 idk if its just the wheel or if its the combination of the wheel, housing, and HFO.

Yea, I have yet to see above 23psi
I'll have to put the boost fooler on at some point too for when it does so it doesn't throw the code on me.

If its throwing the code, you are defueling. That's why you're not cracking 23psi I would bet.

Yup stock turbine housing. Seat of the paints feel is not a snappy with the RR wheel.

I hit 28psi, but then it drops back to around 20. If i pull of the wastegate line it will go to around 33 this is on 100hp setting. I don't like running with the line off, but it is a little annoying that the boost drops like that.

Sounds like you have a boost leak somewhere if you jump up the high and then drop that far.

The banks is a 1.0 A/R right? I'm leaning toward a 1.0 to get more airflow, and trade some spool time (maybe?) for better EGT. The ported RR wheel, ATS compressor housing, and 1.0 A/R turbine housing on a stocker should be a good combo for the 160/0's.

I posed the 38r vs stocker with these mods to Clay, and he said he'd go with the 38r for anything over stage 1's, due to drive pressure concerns.

But if the line is pulled it doesn't drop back. I assumed it was just an over boost protection of some sort.

I've since bought a 97 CCLB 7.3, a 96 SCLB 7.3, an 03 6.0 Excursion and an 05 6.0 E350. I'm only keeping the 96 probably. The others are all flip projects so that I end up with enough money to buy what I really want. That is still up in the air at this point.

Hijack over.
Not quite... there is another guy named Peter (user name Duck Fan) who did the exact same thing... sold a 7.3L Ex and bought a 97 CCLB 4x4 and a 96 SCLB 4x4. He joined FTE in 2007, and you joined in 2010. Curious, I checked your first post, and found that didn't introduce yourself as Duck Fan, but instead only as JAT99 on TDS. Plus, both of you post simultaneously, as recent as yesterday. And, neither of you mention each other. So if you guys aren't the same, you've got an awful lot in common. Don't you think two should meet? You even live in the same city! Or do you already meet every day in the mirror?

Sorry if this double take is old news to anyone else, but this would be too extraordinary of a coincidence not to comment on, if indeed a coincidence.

Peter, I didn't know you were DP tech now, congratulations you deserve it. You've gone out of you way for lots of us on here and been a friend to all.

That's because the user name previous Peter@DP-Tuner was different, and was "manned" by a different person. The account was renamed and is now in use by Pete.

We're Eco-Green here at FTE...we recycle!

Justin is still around. His role with the company has grown and he doesn't have as much time to be on the forums at this point.

The user duck fan and I are one in the same.

Ok. Thanks for the clarification. There are such things as coincidences, but that would have been an extraordinary one. I'm sure a lot of members, new and old alike, will appreciate reading your comments in the future as the new official resident expert on DPTuner stuff.
