this is from a gas truck with the 6.8 v 10 and am thinking this is the same bolt pattern as the 7.3 or is it the same as the 5r110? thanks for the help

 

no it will not work any gas trans will not work.

 

DANG, only have 75k on this one, oh well, so would it be that the internals are the same and the front half of the cases are the only variance? It seems like that would be the smart thing to do in the manufacturing process.

got this wrecked 06 I might buy for parts for my 99 f350, gonna put the front suspension on it, update the front end. So in essence, i'm determining what parts are gas exclusive and what will fit the
diesel.

 

The 7.3L had a unique pattern. The only other engine in a Ford with that pattern was the 6.9L diesel.
