new clutch - normal for it to engage do high?

The shop replaced the clutch, flywheel, master, slave.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

The clutch grips fine, but starts to engage when the pedal is about hallway up. By the time i'm off the pedal it feel likes it completely locked in but no wiggle room.<o></o>

Shouldn't it fully engage down lower? <o></o>

I asked the shop and they said its self-adjusting and there isn't anything they can do about it. As long as it grips and the pedal is smooth there isn't anything to worry about. <o></o>

Thanks<o></o>
