Will a 68 f100 bed fit on a 75 250 highboy? I do not know long bed vs. short bed, but they both look like long bed.

 

Well it will but it won't. You can put it on there but it won't line up on the holes and it will be about 2'' short. you could probably run it up to the cab and cut off the end of the frame rails. Hopefully you don't have any chrome on this truck because it won't match.

 

I put a 69 bed on a 73 F250 frame and....well I lined up the wheels in the wheel wells and I do not notice a large gap......although I am sure it is larger it isnt that obvious on my truck......well to me anyway
But as stated the mounting holes were off because the 2wd frame is wider in 73 than 69...but isnt the F250 4x4 frame the same width as the pre-73 2wd models

 

yeah it is until may 1977, then FoMoCo switched it over to the normal 73-9 chassis. That'd be the 'highboy'.

 

Sparky, I finally measured it today, sorry it took so long, but the 75 F250 frame is about 1 1/4" bigger than the 72 F100.
