It's official - PNW impromptu get-together is on!
Lake Coeur d'Alene Camping Resort - September 14th/15th [LINK]
It ain't fancy like Woodnthing's last shindig with wrenches, but it's a chance to put faces and voices to local screen names. The Tugly crew has reserved cabin #3 and Cody (cleatus12r) is likely to get the same cabin he had the last time we were there - #2. There are plenty of cabins, RV sites, and tent sites available, but the camp store will be closed. There are supplies reasonably close and there will be supply-run volunteers. Link in and read the material available, because the cabins have no plumbing or bedding, but very comfortable beds and electricity (with a powerful heater). The website map shows where all the cabins and sites are located, so it's easier to get closer to the action, or avoid it... depending on your preference. The weather is typically mild in September - possibly the best all year. 80's during the day and upper 40s / low 50s at night... but stable. [LINK]
I will bring a load of seasoned Apple wood for a hot fire that we can kick as we imbibe (BYOB). Cody won't be bringing tuning stuff and neither of us plan to turn wrenches, but there's no way to get a bunch of decent diesel drivers together without exchanging useful information... so there's that. There are plenty of nearby things to do and see, plus there is a diesel dyno event at the local fairgrounds. [LINK]
I am really lousy at coordinating things like this and planning big meals, so there is no banquet or other staged event. If somebody wants to volunteer....

I will be there for alligators dyno day, but will definitely make a point of stopping by. Would be nice to meet cody, and maybe pick his brain on tuning, maybe just have a cold one and shoot the ****.
Of course this is all if I can track down why my POS is deciding to sometimes drain the reservoir down completely over night, and other times not.

Yes Rich. Spoke with Joey today, and figured out that most likely the gasket between the reservoir and the front cover is shot, and so it is leaking down through that point. No where near me had another gasket in stock, so I ordered 2 from Riffraff. Just in case I pulled the res today, checked the gaskets, and reinstalled just to see if it was a fluke. I'll know here in an hour when I head to work whether it worked out not.

I'm anxious to hear how that went.
For those planning on staying overnight there, please call ahead to reserve your cabin/site and give an ETA. They will not be there after a certain time of night, so communications with them are important in the off-season.
So far, we have 3 overnighters and 2 drop-bys.

One week to go.
Yes, I'll be leaving home for the campground early on the morning of the 13th. That should put me there around 2 PM (earliest I can claim my cabin is 3PM anyway) provided "Way Faster than Stinky" gets me there without any issues. It's a stock truck, who am I kidding? I won't have any problems.
