Pulling my motor i noticed a wire/tune going into the passenger side exhaust manifold and leading to a sensor attatched to the HPOP. What is it?

Yep thats the exhaust back pressure sensor and tube, take the tube off and clean it sometime it will help a bit with mpgs and performance, i was shown that and i did it and it made a difference, i was told to clean it with a cable like you see on pedal bikes used for brakes and i was told to push it in there and run it with a drill which worked good but it was tough to get in the tube since it was full of carbon, i used wd-40 to help with that and ran it for a few a couple of times and got it all cleaned up then i cleaned the wd out with brake cleaner i didnt know if i needed to but i did.

Hahaha on that one i dont know, i bet if it was hooked up and working good it would sure make it run better but im not sure, i wouldn't think it would matter with it cut i wonder why they cut those wires, maybe there is something i dont know about that cutting the wires does hahaha but i doubt it, maybe someone else may pick this one up and fill us both in on that hahah, i do know with mine unplugged it made my truck throw a (CEL) Check Engine Light.

As a matter of fact a lot of random things were cut out or broken off, but its always ran fine and never thrown a CEL
