I would bet, that while changing the ip, the wire broke inside the insulation
Unplug the the connector closest to the firewall on the ip, that will help if you have the pump advanced past 10 degrees.

Just got off the phone with a guy who says he's talked to a few mechanics, and he says all these mechanics say that I have a blown head gasket... Thoughts? I know the passenger head gasket is new and torqued down correctly (done in 4 steps), but I've no idea when the driver's head gasket was done.
Update Edit: I just drained the oil and there wasn't a speck of water or anything else in it, so I don't think thats very likely

If you have a "heavy" amount of "white" smoke,,
it is a good indicator of a blown gasket.
