Tried to put one of the wheels off My '78 F150 (shown in pic below) on My '80 the other day,to use as a spare and when I had it bolted up, it would not turn. Is there a difference in backspacing?
Drum versus disc brakes, there is usually a difference. I don't have any info to back that up on that particular truck.
I was using one of the rear wheels off the '78, as the 2 fronts were shot, all 4 wheels are matching on it. I guess, if I have to, is take a rear wheel from My '80, and put it on the LF,then use a '78 wheel on the rear for the time being
the wheels pictured were offered in a number of years,but most notably, in the 87-91's. they offered 2 different width, 7 and 8 inch, i think the 8 inch had clearance issues on certain 2wd trucks.

I went ahead and put the wheel shown in the pic,on the left rear,and put the one that was on there, on the LF
