Next-Gen Titan to Feature Cummins Diesel Engine | Nissan 360 Blog

I think Ford is really going to regret not coming out with a diesel option for the F-150...

That's very interesting. And it has more hp and torque than our 7.3s. Isn't it kinda ironic that it's a 5.0?!

I owned (<~ notice past tense) a 2007 Titan. Although I loved the engine because it towed nicely, the rest of the truck was a POS.

It had more squeaks and rattles then all 3 of my Fox body mustangs and my 3 LS1 cars put together. The last straw was the glass transmission they put behind it (not to mention 12.00/quart for fluid). The first and last import I will ever own. :/rant:

They can keep the truck, even with the Cummings 5.0. You think Dodge is bad, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Ford was going to come out with a 4.4L PSD in the F150 in 2008 or 09, it was a blue print copy from the original International made engine, that Ford wanted to produce them self, International sued Ford for copying the exact engine, and that put an end to that, and international canceled production of their engines to put in Ford trucks, thus the reason why Ford had to come out with their own diesel, the 6.7L.

This is surely gonna bite Ford in the *** later on.

Keep in mind that not everyone likes diesels, we are a little one sided here.
If you want a little diesel check this site out, dieseltoys.com They used to show a diesel ranger, but not any more.
But, you can buy a lot of gas for what they want.

I didn't want to sound like I didn't want one, I would love to stick a little diesel in my f150, but if it had 300hr I would want to pull it and then, I would have to beef up the rest.
I'm just trying to blance the conversation.
even with the better mileage, If you pencil it out the diesel dosen't always come out on top.
