heads cam and carb swap questions

Got a 95 f150 302.found out its all stock except for the shorty headers and strait pipes.
The trans has already been swapped with a c6.
Would gt40 or gt40p heads be a good improvement.whats the difference in those heads.
Also would a x303 cam be a good choice with those heads and i plan on swapping to a carb set up with a weiand stelth and edelbrock 600 carb.
I guess is what im asking is what would give me good power and have the lopey sound.

I built a 85 gt 302 before with 9.1 pistons and trick flow s1 cam on sd system and ran like crap.converted it to carb and what a difference it made.
My truck isnt running good due to bad maf and who ever knows what else is bad.

F150 Flareside
Buy a Tweecer or a Moates and you can tune it easily and keep the efficiency. I have NO idea why people think a carb is better...

garthneddy is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
For the price of a nice intake and carburetor setup you could purchase a new MAF meter, have your truck tuned for the heads and cam your going to install and have some change left over. Keep the EFI and ditch the alphabet cam.

Alphabet cams are a lousy choice for a truck motor.. besides being out of date, a truck weighs a lot more than a Mustang so you can't use the same parts or it'll be a slug.

Use the Comp 35-320-8 with those heads and look here for the tuner and Binary Editor software..
