Sorry if this is a common question. I searched, but didn't find anything, and I'm also on dial-up, so this site won't hardly load for me.

I just got a '54 F-100 that doesn't have anything covering the access holes in the doors for the hinges. Was there ever a plate to cover these or is that one reason that people like to put door panels on these trucks, to cover the holes?

 

There should be a small plate that fastens with two screws.

 

Ok, much obliged. I had looked, but didn't see any screw holes.

 

The screws go in from the hinge side of the door. The other end has an offset that fits into the door.

 

Sounds easy to fabricate new ones.
