I was just curious because it doesn't have Conelrad markings. Not entirely sure when they started making them, Conelrad itself started in '51.

Colonial , Zenith & Motorola radios were used . That one is obviously a Motorola . Put it in this afternoon . Have yet to drill the hole in the upper firewall for the radio support bracket .

Installed the radio ( w/ speaker mntg. bracket & radio support brace from Ilya) today . Got it all in , attached the ***** , turned it on , the vibrator was working but no sound . Thought no way this was going to get taken back out .Scanned the dial & sound !!! Not to many am stations on around her Sun . & the radio has to warm up .So the interior is completed . Pics soon .

Just as fyi, there are a couple of antique radio restorers that can add fm functionality to these old am radios. Have you thought about doing that? I wonder if anyone on the forum has done that and happy with it. I am with you, just one am station here in north Georgia. The restorer I have been looking at also adds an audio in jack to play tunes from your phone.

Maybe go for a short shakedown ride now that the front fenders are on & no chance of debris able to land on the shiny gloss black running boards.

The local vinyl sign shop is making some FORD blue letters to apply on the hub caps. .
Beautiful work! Referencing photos on page 9, where did you get the stock front license plate brackets and are they mounted under the top lip of the bumper or on top?

Having one bracket that was in decent shape 2 new ones were made w/ the help of the mill for the slot , box brake to bend them , and dill press to make the holes . They are mounted under the top lip of the front bumper .Thanks, Denny
