Parting out a 2000 Ford Explorer, 192K, extremely well maintained, 4.0 OHV, 5R55W freshly rebuilt 13K miles ago, can provide paperwork. Fresh intake and valve cover gaskets, great AC, cruise, the works. Brand new upper and lower control arms. Has never used a drop of oil, the only code was due to an intake leak, which is why it has new gaskets. Averaged 21mpg. Ideal for an engine swap project.

Everything is in good working order. An uninsured driver ran my wife off the road, rolled the Explorer, body is toast except for the back door. I pulled the plugs and spun it over to get any oil off the top of the pistons, put the plugs back in and drove it home. Air conditioner still blows cold, shifts though all the gears. The only problem I did notice was the coolant reservoir was empty and the power steering was low.

The only thing I want to keep is the rear end, disc to disc, and possibly the driveshaft. If anyone wants the rims, they are still intact with the center covers.

I'm looking for 5.0 roller shortblock + lifters, T5 or Tremec 5 speed, so I'm willing to do some trading.

I'll pull the motor, tranny, harness and all and deliver within reason if we can work something out. If anyone wants the entire Explorer, I'm open to that as well.

Still available, F100 still needs parts and so does the Comet.

Might trade for a roller 5.0, T5, anything to help help with my Comet project.

Looking for cruise control switches

...for my 2003 F150 Heritage. Does the explorer have the same steering wheel & cruise switches? Below is a pic of my wheel - Thanks.

It does, but the cruise button is damaged on mine thanks to a teenager.

It works, but the rubber is cracked, not quite as bad as yours.

$35 shipped.
I'll post a pic. The passenger side has a crack, the driver's side has a hole, but both are working. I patched the hole, quick and dirty, but it prevents the backlight from screwing up night vision while driving.
