TFI Module = Ignition module? or just what is the correct name?
I was advised to look in to changing out the TFI module in this post:

but I don't think NAPA has a "TFI module", nor an Ignition module... I could be wrong, but we couldn't find them today.
Just what is the name of the part am I looking for, anyway?

hello Gamma,
If you do indeed have a "TFI module it will be a grey box that sits mounted on the side of the distributor with a couple of screws. It is about 3 inches long and about one inch and a half wide. The correct name is " Thick Film Integrated" module.
Hope this helps.

On my 92 F-150 model the TFI is located on the side of the firewall near the master cylinder. If this is where yours is at you can disconnect and take off. Autozone can actually test to see it is OK. If it wasn't Autzone then it was Advanced. It's gray and held on by a little metal box that bolts to the firewall.
