I am rebuilding a 2005 5.4 3 valve motor. I have bored the block .30 over had crank turned. I am installing the Comp Cams ***** thumper mt273ll with cam phaser limiter kit and springs for the heads. I have the heads reworked as well. Can someone tell me where to get a aftermarket intake,headers,and where I could send the computer to have it turned for the mods. I was also wanting to know what is the stock size of the throttle body as I was thinking about going bigger with it. Any help would be great.

 

I have a K&N cold air intake on my stock truck and it works well. Gives the engine some throat sound. There are tons of exhaust choices out there. The only thing I know about headers is they are a pain to install on an f150.

 

Thanks for the reply. I have the K&N cold air for it. I have the motor out the truck now so the headers should not be a big deal(I HOPE) I am waiting on another set of rings o come in now. I got shorted the #2 ring. Hopefully it will be here tomorrow.

 

Did you pull the engine out the front or raise the cab? Just curious, have heard of folks doing either.

 

I pulled engine and trans out the front. Putting it back in motor first and then trans. It was a pain pulling them out at the same time.
