Wire Harness

Wire Harness
1981 F100/300-6/4sp OD
Called Painless Performance asking about a wire-harness for my truck. The guy said they only had up to the late 70s. I asked why their company doesn't have a harness for the 80s model Ford trucks. He just laughed at that! To my mind it was a fair question and laughing is not the answer I was looking for...
Painless Performance will not be getting any business, now/future, from me.
Found a 12 circuit E-Z harness and I'm wondering if anyone has re-wired their truck using a universal kit, and if so: any problems/pitfalls with the job ?
Other than factory AC, no extras(power windows/stuff/'options') with my F100.
I'd very much like to install the fuse-block in the engine compartment and not back under the dash (Pita location since 1981)
Advice appreciated, thanks
