1965 F100 original paint dog dish hub caps
Help me out here fellas. Need you to put your collective valuation thinking caps on. I am looking at a long distance CA to IN 1965 F100 purchase that I am going to have to get transported. The lady that is selling her deceased father's truck has the original white with red lettered hubcaps. Someone told her that those hubcaps were worth $600. They are in nice shape. I am guessing that they are in the $100-$150 range. I believe she thinks the hubcaps are greatly affecting the selling price of the truck. Before I tell her what I think the value of the hubcaps are I really would like some opinions on value.
Thanks- Tom

I just GAVE AWAY 3 of these painted steel "innie" hubcaps to FTE member Bill W. They were dent free, just needed to be repainted.
There are two versions of these F100 painted steel "innie" hubcaps: White with red FORD letters or argent with red FORD letters.
The stainless steel version is reproduced, a complete set is less than 150 bucks.

There is a good chance she does not know this "style" hubcap is now reproduced, which effects price of originals. However the repro cap is stainless and for some strange reason, the FORD letters are not painted. So, to duplicate the original white with red letter hubcaps, add up your extra expenses of masking, painting and your time and patience to the price of a repopped set.
