gas tank capacity

My truck is a 1993 F150 with extended cab. It has duel tanks. The fuel pump in the rear tank dosn't work so I am running on the front tank. The gas gauge does not work, so I would like to know how much gas the front tank holds. It measures about 3 ft 9in long. I think the front tank could be either 16 or 19 gallons.
Thank you, Jerry

Most of the time the 16 gallon is used on 4X4, and the 19 is used on the 2wd.. Of course anything can happen, or could have been changed on a 20 year old truck.

I have always heard it has to do with shortbed vs longbed, the longbed having the 19 gallon.

My front tank is 19. Gauge doesn't work and it got ran dry a couple weeks ago, took exactly 19 gallons to fill up. Manual also says 19 front. 4*4 longbed.

I think you may be right, I do know that with a short bed and 4X4 there isn't room for a 19.. I guess that's where I got the 4X4 part stuck in my head... Sorry if I mislead anyone....

My SuperCab shortbed 4x4 is 16 gallon front. If you have the manual, it will break it down for you. Look under Capacities & Specifications.
