Transmission jack?

What's the common fix to getting the E40D to sit and stay on the tranny jack pad? I picked up the 800lb cap one from HF. I had a 2X4 block under the front of the pan, but with the funky shape of the pan it slid around and scared the crap outta me! Lol. I did get it out and its on the floor, but I don't want it sliding around again when I put the new one back in. Ideas?

I use a small ratchet strap and tie it to the jack with a couple eyehooks.

I had the same concern when I pulled my e4od with the harbor freight jack a few days ago. I was all set to fab some brackets that would actually support the trans at the pan/trans interface which is how it is supposed to be supported but then i decided that was too much work and i just used some wood blocks and a ratchet strap. Im pretty sure that is what most people do and I havent heard of anyone having problems with that method.

Ok, thanks. I might build a quick box for it to support it, then strap it down. There isn't much room for error getting it back into place, and the less hassle, the better! Lol
