2002 F250 Super Duty Shocks

Hey there guys!

I have a 2002 F250 and recently I have been getting a lot of wheel hop in the rear end only, and I had the tires Balanced and the hop still hasn't gone away?
Its mainly only doing it from about 40-50 MPH, and around 65-70 MPH. 65-70 isn't too bad, but 40-50 gets pretty bouncy and is pretty bad!! The tires also 315/75/16
BF Goodrich A/T's that only have maybe 5000 miles on them! So the tread is still pretty dang good on them, and the PSI in each tire I have at about 38-40 PSI.

Anyone be able to tell me if it could possibly be that my rear shocks are shot? Because I do believe that it could cause the wheel hop correct?

Also... I was wondering if maybe we could get some opinions on which shocks everyone likes the best? Right now I have Edelbrock's on the front and rear, but I was wondering if maybe there was a better brand for my Pickup?

Pull off the shocks, if you can easily compress them by hand they are done. Bilstein 5100's get my vote with a lifetime warranty.

The only problem is that Bilstein has not been honoring the warranty. One member had his shocks overheat and melt when driving down a washboard road while hauling a camper. Bilstein said they would not honor the warranty due to "extreme offroading".

I'd go with the Ranchos.

One report doesn't mean ALL complaints are being denied warranty coverage. Be realistic.

Man Redford do you have a personal vendetta against Bilstein, that was one instance, there are a lot of happy people that have Bilstein. They are well regarded in the industry.

I'm sure can find a lot of unhappy people that own Ranchos.

Nope, I point it out to make the OP aware that the shocks destroyed themselves in what I would consider normal use, and that Bilstein would not honor the warranty.
