Turn on sync/radio when doors are unlocked

I would like my radio/sync to turn on when I unlock the doors with the remote. Mainly because it takes so long to boot up and I like using the backup camera, but half the time I'm already backed out and on my way by the time it's finished powering up. I was thinking if I could find the wire that unlocks the doors, I could tap into this and connect it to a relay. I'd get a time delay relay that would stay on for a bit, maybe a minute or two. This would provide power to the radio/sync and turn it on. The relay would de-energize after a minute, but by then I'd be inside with the truck running. This assumes that the radio is turned on by giving it power or some other pretty simple signal. If it's turned on by some sort of communication with a computer, this won't work. I'd appreciate any thoughts or feedback on this idea.

Since you aren't getting any love on your question, my suggestion is to back into the spot and then you can take off without need for the camera.

I think it would take more time to back into a parking sport then wait for the backup screen to boot up.

Come on, he has a valid point. It does take a lot time for the NAV unit to boot up. Most times, I am already on the move before the camera kicks in.

Although I can't help with the solution, it's possible the radio is controlled with relay's but I suspect a microprocessor. I'm not sure what inputs the radio gets to turn on as it stays on even when the key is pulled from the ignition and doesn't turn off until the door is opened or a certain amount of time passes.

I think any back yard solution would be difficult in this vehicle, but I do applaud the OP to think and question it. Maybe an engineer at Ford may even see it and implement the idea in a future vehicle as it would be an upgrade IMO.
